Cookies and tracking technologies
The Website uses cookies — small text files placed on your device by your browser — to support Website functionality and to understand how visitors use the Website.
Cookies we use
The Website may use cookies to support its functionality and to understand how visitors use the Website. We do not currently use any persistent third-party tracking cookies.
Managing cookies
You can control and manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to refuse or delete cookies.
Do Not Track
Some browsers transmit "Do Not Track" (DNT) signals to websites. We do not currently alter our data collection practices in response to DNT signals, as no consistent technical standard for interpreting these signals has been adopted. We will continue to monitor developments in this area.
Sharing your information
Service providers
We may engage other third-party service providers to operate and support the Website (for example, hosting providers). These providers act on our instructions and are not authorised to use your personal information for their own purposes. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle your personal information in a manner consistent with the APPs.
Legal requirements
We may disclose personal information if required to do so by law, or if we reasonably believe that disclosure is necessary to comply with a legal obligation, court order, or lawful request from a government authority.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information collected through the Website to any third party for their own promotional or commercial purposes.
Cross-border disclosure
Some of the third parties with whom we share personal information are located outside Australia. Before disclosing personal information to overseas recipients, we take reasonable steps to ensure that the overseas recipient does not breach the APPs in relation to that information, including by entering into data processing agreements with those recipients.
By submitting personal information through the Website, you acknowledge that your information may be transferred to and processed in countries outside Australia. Where such transfers occur, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information is handled consistently with the APPs.
Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as is reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by law. Contact form submissions are retained for as long as necessary to manage your enquiry and any resulting business relationship. You may request deletion of your personal information at any time (see Access and correction).
Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the personal information we hold from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. These measures include use of HTTPS encryption for all Website traffic and access controls on systems that hold personal information.
If you have reason to believe that personal information we hold about you has been compromised, please contact us immediately at admin@cyberops.com.au.
Communications preferences
If you have provided your contact details and consented to receiving marketing communications, you may opt out at any time by clicking the "unsubscribe" link in any marketing email we send, or by contacting us directly at admin@cyberops.com.au. We will process your opt-out request promptly. Opting out of marketing communications will not affect transactional messages (such as responses to your enquiries).
Access and correction
Under the APPs, you have the right to request access to the personal information we hold about you, and to request that we correct personal information that is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading.
To make an access or correction request, please contact us at admin@cyberops.com.au. We will respond to your request within a reasonable time. We may ask you to verify your identity before processing your request. In limited circumstances, we may decline a request for access or correction as permitted under the APPs; if so, we will explain why in writing.
